Biography

Raymond is from Franklin, Tennessee. Raymond grew up taking martial arts, gymnastics, swimming, playing football, and soccer. Raymond was a member of the 4H club and an Eagle Scout by age 15. Raymond received a B.A. in Philosophy from The University of the South at Sewanee. He was inducted into the National Philosophy Society and wrote his thesis on Kierkegaard's Indirect Communication. He was also a member and president of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Iota Nu Zeta. Raymond earned an MFA in Acting from the Professional Conservatory at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. He was in the last class to have Bill Esper full time.

Raymond is the great great grandson of gunfighter, John Allison, and subsequently, nephew to the more famous Gentleman Gunfighter, Robert Clay Allison.

Raymond is the son of former Miss Tennessee & retired lawyer, Patricia Eaves McAnally, and International Cattle Broker & CEO, the late Mr. Raymond Houston McAnally.

Raymond was first introduced to acting as a result of a severe football injury before High School. The Drama class was the only academic class that fit the time slot for his Football P.E. credit... the rest is history.

Grew up playing Latin percussion and hand drums in local Jam Bands in Nashville, Tennessee. He played, back then, with members of the band Mile 8 and grew up with such recording artists as Will Hoge, Josh Hoge, Marcus Hummon, Radney Foster, Casey Black, etc.

Won a Cincinnati Acclaim Award (Outstanding Supporting Performance 2009) for his portrayal of Ellard Simms in the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park production of The Foreigner.
