Phill Norman Multiple Emmy award winning title designer Phill Norman passed away on July 11, 2009 in Los Angeles at age 74 after a short illness. His career spanned 50 years, with credits including main titles for television franchises "Charlie's Angels" and "Dynasty", and movie titles for Out Of Africa, On Golden Pond and Ordinary People. He is survived by his daughter Jessica Youd, son in law Tim Youd and five grandchildren. Following his wishes, there will be no funeral.
Norman and actress Sheree North were companions from 1982 and were married from 2003 until her death in 2005. He was the step-father of he daughters Dawn Bessire and Erica Sommers.
