Philip Stone (born April 14, 1924, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, UK - died June 15, 2003, London, England, UK) was an English actor.
Along with Norman Gay , he holds the distinction of being one of the very few actors to appear in three successive Stanley Kubrick films. He appeared in A Clockwork Orange , Barry Lyndon and The Shining . Norman also appears in those three films but in two of them hes plays uncredited bit parts.
Served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War.
Tall, bald-pated English character actor, on stage at the West End in London from 1947. His first job was for an engineering company in Leeds. Discovered by Stanley Kubrick during 1969 while acting in "The Contractor" at the Royal Court Theatre. At one time fronted his own production company, Philip Stone Productions.
Contracted tuberculosis in 1947 and was forced to give up acting for several years to undergo treatment.
