He was born Hungarian and he and his family moved to Australia at the age of 10. He began his love of films at the age of 5 when he first saw E.T. and from there he forged his way as a filmmaker when he studied 3 years of Film and Television, followed up by starting his own production business and cutting his teeth from all ranges of production. After 10 years it was time to take the next step which was to work on narrative films as a cinematographer. His first feature was _The Legend of Ben Hall which was highly acclaimed and award winning for its cinematography.
