Biography

Peter Schneider, born in 1975 in Leipzig, started after high school in 1995 to study music and from 1998-2002 acting at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig, where he graduated with a master. Since then he has worked as an actor on theaters in Germany. Since an intensive collaboration with Edgar Reitz 2001-2002 in the category "best dramatic performance male lead" and 2013 for the prize of the German Film Critics Association Awards. Also in 2013 the director Mareille Klein received the "Max Ophüls Prize 2013" for her film "Gruppenfilm" in which Peter Schneider played the leading role.

Austrian conductor who ascended from singing with the Vienna Boys Choir to an appointment as music director of the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich, in 1993.

In February of 1986, an inter-office memo was sent out to Disney employees in Schneiders name announcing the renaming of the studios most beloved classics. The fake memo originated from animator Ed Gombert , who was deeply upset over the companys decision to rename "Basil of Baker Street" as The Great Mouse Detective . Schneider was furious over the memo and attempted to find the author so he could fire him to no avail. A copy of the memo eventually landed in the pages of the LA Times and later became a category called "Whats In A Name?" on "Jeopardy!" .
