Biography

Florida-born Peggy O'Rourke's parents divorced when she was very young. Peggy's mother eventually married a wealthy attorney named Stewart, and Peggy took his name. She grew up in Atlanta while raising her family, and also performed in the Los Angeles theatrical community. She kept her hand in the film business, making occasional appearances in some lower-budget westerns, made-for-TV movies and inexpensive horror pictures.

Sister of Patricia ORourke.

She had two children by second husband Buck Young - a daughter, Abigail Young , and a son, Greg Young , who appeared with both his mother and father (as their son) in the 1972 movie Pickup on 101 .

In the mid 70s Peggy was honored at the annual Western Film Festival.

In July 2002, she was a guest at the Western Film Fair in Charlotte, North Carolina along with Donna Douglas , Edd Byrnes , Alex Cord , Jean Porter , Johnny Duncan and Kevin Greaves.
