Trivia

Magician

Is a long term supporter of The Variety Club.

Has 3 sons from a previous marriage: Paul Jr., Martin and Gary. Martin Daniels is also a professional magician.

On New Years Day 2012 he accidentally cut off his left index finger and the tip of his ring finger as he was using a circular saw to build a prop for his stage show. Since he was the only person in the house (his wife was at a radio interview) he drove himself to hospital where the index finger was successfully reattached.

Bought Roger Moore s house in the UK after the Moore family moved to Geneva.

When Paul Daniels made a guest appearance on "Have I got News for You", Paul Merton asked Daniels if hed "ever considered using [his] powers for evil".

During his national service, he was posted to Hong Kong, where he continued to hone his skills as a magician by giving impromptu performances to fellow soldiers.

He became interested in magic when he read a book entitled "How to Entertain at Parties". He practiced tricks for his family and friends, and began performing in local youth clubs.

In 2011 he sold one of his wigs on the auction website eBay for charity for 1,100, explaining that it was a chance to own a toupee that had "decorated the head of one of the greatest sex symbols of all time".
