Having Port Gamble as an island suits the plot, but Port Gamble, Washington is not an island but is actually a town on the Kitsap Peninsula.

During the opening credits, when we see a few characters passing houses, a car with the camera crew can be seen in the windows.

When the gay man's mom has her eyeball popped out, in subsequent shots, her "hole" is just painted black over her eye.

One of the sadder sights in independent cinema is seeing a filmmaker bite off more than he can chew. If co-writer/director Kevin Hamedani had decided to make this flick about one thing, he might have wound up with a neat, 25 minute long film festival entry.

ZMD is interesting if not scary, and amusing if not laugh-out-loud funny. Kevin Hamedani makes some valid points for the Progressive, tolerant viewpoint, while other points are made less persuasive by the cartoonish exaggeration of Conservative stupidity.

Reacting somewhat negatively to the double-bummer of its prosaic title and generic artwork, my initially too-glib dismissal of 'Zombies of Mass Destruction' proved to be no less misguided than Johnny Depp's miasmic marriage to golden-haired harridan, Amber Heard! While 'ZOMD' doesn't exactly lumber the apocalyptic road less travelled by the reeking multitudes of many other no less penurious 'Zom-B movies', it is enlivened by a sprightly witty script, which takes the singularly novel approach of actually placing appealing characters in deadly 'Zom-Com' jeopardy, rather than blithely sending asinine caricatures into the anodyne celluloid meat grinder.

Well done, gory and funny as hell.I think the female lead started out in a skirt when her BF got killed wore jeans during part of her escape and then was back in the skirt when she got nailed.

Islamic terrorists, homosexuals and zombies seem to be a strange combination for a supposed horror film. In her first role, Janette Armand plays Frida, an Iranian born in the small town of Port Gamble.

This film offers no real surprises. Thats pretty much this movie in a nut shell.

This is your typical zombie film, but compared to a lot of other zombie films, I would have to say that this one really stands out from the hordes (pun intended). The basic premise of the story is something like this: A woman running for mayor, a homosexual couple trying to come out of the closet, a father and daughter from Iran (not Iraq) come together with a band of religious folk during a zombie outbreak.

I must be honest first off, I love horror movies and since it is cheap to make them and usually profitable - especially with small budgets - there has always been a huge influx of direct to video horror movies, with varying results. I am familiar with "B" and "D" horror films and this movie isn't that bad.

I didn't know what to expect going into this other than Zombies. I was really surprised.
