Directed by Gary Michael Schultz, Vincent N Roxxy is an amazing film. It's a simple story, superbly written, faultlessly directed, and delightfully executed.
This is a very good movie. It burns slowly and takes a few twists and turns, some unexpected and some unrealistic, but it's movie land and pretty much anything goes.
01/12/2020 The first half held me (not great but not that bad), then enter "Thug Time" (about as unrealistic as a movie can be). It's all in the details (watch closely) Pretty hard to swallow your common sense regardless of how much you wanted to like the movie.
Came across this movie on Netflix and it gave off a Bonnie and Clyde impression, which as it turns out is not at all the way it went. There's a scene where they discuss how they'd go about robbing a place, but that's as far as the Bonnie and Clyde vibe goes.
This was a movie about violence and revenge and nothing else. Two strangers meet and then a violent bloodbath follows.
Well made and directed. but really slow for the most part.
Vincent N Roxxy is one of those nihilistic slow burn violent crime dramas that is tailor made for Ryan Gosling.However Gosling was not available and the script is terrible.
I think if Emile was paid by the word he is the highest paid actor in Hollywood ever. And can we stop saying Zoe Kravitz is a good actress?
I made an account just to post a review here to say how good I think this movie is, don't let the bad reviews put you off. This is one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time.
