Seething with familial conflicts and yearnings, Three Priests offers a powerful journey of affection, fear and fate.Whatever THAT means.

Director Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, etc) has described Michael Parks as the "greatest living American actor" and this film shows why. Parks' performance is altogether staggering and the kind of thing that, were this a big name, big money film -- rather than a low budget Indie -- would get him an Oscar nomination.

This is a solid indie. Great acting and good cinematography carry the film.

The Cain and Abel myth so well played out in East of Eden fails here. Due in part to a waste of talent like Wes Studi and Michael Parks as a Wheezy mumbling, bumbling father figure.
