This is a hybrid of many other stories and nationalities but it still just about worth watching. Lisa Daniely in the title role, plays an aspiring singer who gets a chance to sing in the chorus of a London show produced by impresario "Fennimore Hunt" (Sid James) after her broadcaster boyfriend Hugh McDermott sets it all up.
A threadbare sequel to the 1950 'Lili Marlene' in which true love and the heroine's rise to the top naturally don't run smooth or there'd be no film.Lacking the budget for Technicolor, the lighting by Arthur Grant is more suited to 'Dr Mabuse' than a musical.
