It's 19th century China. The governor is transferring a large shipment of gold.

Anyone who has given this film less than 10/10 needs a Buddha palm to their triple burner.Do yourself a favor, and see this checklist before you buy this film and then come on here wailing about how you've been robbed of your money: WATCH THIS FILM IF YOU: 1) Actually KNOW and LIKE who the RZA is, and enjoy the WU-TANG beats and the content of the lyrics.

It's all about having the right friends, which is how RZA, who cannot write, act or direct, got an Orson Welles-like triple threat debut. Normally this is where I would tell you what the plot is about, but 5 minutes into it you've had more opening narration than Dune yet are still completely baffled as to why the clan which has been hired to safeguard the gold apparently plans to rob itself of the gold which someone else has after all.

If you're looking for a film that is 70% funny fighting, this film Is for you. Nothing serious in fact even the story.

The strength of this film is in the Tarantino style unusual plot e.g.

I never normally write reviews. I have the greatest respect for film makers.

I remember finding this film in a store like a year or two ago. I didn't get it, put when I saw it in the rental store, I had to rent it.

There is plenty of action with a fight scene every five minutes (or so it seems) the pacing is kept pretty high throughout also. There are many impressive set-pieces with many tricks we've seen before being re- used.

Many people who see this movie do not get the point of the film. A common complaint is the narration, cheesy dialogue and predictable plot.
