Most early silent films have disappeared and will never be seen again due to the volatility of the nitrate film stock and indifference, at the time, about what to do with the movies after they've been shown. In addition, most films around 1901 were very, very short (1-2 minutes) and had little in the way of effects and story.
Here we have the earliest surviving film version of a Dickens work, an incident from BLEAK HOUSE.... perhaps.
