Six teenagers decide to go waterskiing. Four of them show up, two don't.

1957's "Teenage Zombies" was a completely self produced effort from writer/director Jerry Warren a few months after "The Incredible Petrified World," both titles waiting at least two years before being unleashed on an unsuspecting public, undoubtedly responsible for his switch to converting foreign titles into cinema fodder for an easier buck. Top billing went to Don Sullivan, whose later roles in "The Monster of Piedras Blancas" and "The Giant Gila Monster" were probably issued before his debut here, and Katherine Victor, a sultry brunette who apparently did "Mesa of Lost Women" some years before her first starring role (via a chance meeting with the director), unusual to feature a female mad scientist but one she would repeat opposite John Carradine in Warren's 1981 comeback "Frankenstein Island.

Outrageous teen/horror movie about a bunch of young people kidnapped by this gang of spies led by a Dr. Myra and her obedient zombie slave Ivan on an island off the US coast.

With this, his third foray into the much maligned horror genre, Jerry Warren solidified his reputation as *the* avaunt-guarde director of the 1950s. Here Warren straddles the line between "auteur" and "metteur", masterfully reconceptualizing the themes of Don Siegel's "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (released the previous year) through a pair of interlocking mise-en-scenes.

TEENAGE ZOMBIES is another brain-smoother from Director, Jerry Warren (THE INCREDIBLE PETRIFIED WORLD, FRANKENSTEIN ISLAND). Regg (Don Sullivan- THE MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS, THE GIANT GILA MONSTER) and his pals are ready for a day of water-skiing, when they're told of a mysterious island.

Despite the advent of Elvis Presley and the birth of rock and roll, the mid-1950s still proved to be a tough time for the American teenager...at least, on the big screen.

4 teens from the Campus Malt Shop visit an island so far off the coast no one knows it is there. They get caught up in an international plot to conquer the United States with zombie gas.

The plot is typical B-movie stuff. Four teenagers are out boating and water-skiing (which is implied, as there is no footage of water-skiing at all in the film), and accidentally discover an island that's run by a mad scientist who intends to use some kind of nerve gas to turn the entire U.

Six all American Eisenhower era kids decide to go water-skiing or at least four of the six do. When the four fail to show up, the other two go looking for their friends.
