Something Like Summer

First of all, let me start off saying, Thank you for having queer characters play queer roles. *pause for applause* Next, I thought the movie was incredibly well done.

I haven't read the book, that's probably why I actually liked the film. Usually if you read the book first you almost never like the film lol.

I'd never want to have to bring a book to life, with all the limitations normally involved. I bought and read this series (those available at the time, then buying the rest as they became available) a few years ago, just after losing the last member of my family after taking care of her in my home for 3½ years.

This movie gave me a lot of feelings and not one of them was positive. The two hours (six because I kept pausing to vent) I spent watching this were an exercise in frustration.

I have read all of the something like books and was naturally excited to see the movie was coming out and waited what seemed to be an eternity to see it. Sadly to say I shouldn't have waited.
