Secrets and Lies

I think that SECRETS AND LIES (2015-?) had very low expectations going in.

A good title 'secrets and lies' as it seems that everyone has something to hide.On the way to uncovering the killer of a five year old boy, a small community and even the cops are thrown to the audience as sacrificial red herrings.

Just simply outstanding! Ryan Phillippe giving a fantastic performance .

Outstanding drama and marvellous comedy is this 1996 Cannes winner from Mike Leigh. Writer/director Leigh strikes our funny bones and our heart strings simultaneously with his observant, true to life screenplay and his biting, sharp dialogue.

I hate movies that make me cry. I started crying about 8 minutes into "Secrets and Lies".

What an incredibly funny and moving film. I don't think I've seen a performance as good as Brenda Blethyn's heartbreaking Cynthia.

It's been awhile since I've had so much fun just sitting in front of the TV... Recommend without reservation.

While Ryan Phillippe (I mean, two L's and two P's; isn't it ever enough for him?) always gives me the creeps, Juliette Lewis always manages to breath life into her characters.

Americans can never create classic crime drama. Dont waste money on it.
