Reviews

I am referring more to the reviews here than to the film itself. It looks like the same person wrote all those "glorious" reviews.

This is one of those films that you watch and can never ever forget. A monumental piece of cinema, a magnificent accomplishment.

It's a great film about the Bosnian War. It fully represents the atmosphere of that time, the life of people during the war.

I have never in my life seen a movie that so truly symbolizes its name and its message. Unforgettable film.

I am Romanian so neither Serb nor Bosnian, but of course the war affected us and drove us firmly into acceptance of EU and NATO membership. Both Serbs and Bosnians made many films about this subject, with the more famous Bosnian films either lamenting the collapse of humanity ("Perfect Circle" (1997), "No Man's Land" (2001), or focusing on the emotional aftermath of rape and family destruction ("Grbavica" (2006), "Halima's Path" (2012).

Just another cliche movie about bad Serbs and innocent Muslims in Bosnia. This propaganda was working years ago but no one is buying it nowadays.

It's 2020, and to this day I still shed tears everytime I watch this movie. That is how powerful and captivating this story is.

My rating: 10/10This movie stayed with me for a long time. It is emotionally gripping.

A harrowing, devastating story. Films like this help us never to forget and never to repeat this awful moments in human history.
