Proctor's gloves disappear and reappear between shots when he is waterskiing.

When golf balls continually fall out of Commandant Lassard's golf bag, there are many people who slip and fall because of them.

Two of the actors who fall had no golf balls anywhere near them when they performed their pratfalls.

During the shark attack rescue scene, Tackleberry's gun is pointed at the shark's head sticking out of the water, the gun visibly above sea level.

However, in the next shot, Tackleberry's gun and the shark are now underwater.

The plane they take off in to go to Miami is a DC-10 200, while they plane they land in Miami is a DC-10 300.

The difference is noticeable because of the presence of a third set of main gear when they land, which is absent when they take off.

When Lassard and Tony are traveling through the wetlands, the drive stick is seen on his left, as it is for the rest of the boats.

When Tony turns the boat around the other way, the stick is on his right.

No-one else's changes.

As the criminals are plotting to find the commandant you can see one of the henchman eating an actual powder donut in his left hand.

When he moves back into his seat he reveals the prop donut in his right hand.

When they are walking into the airport to board the flight to Miami, we see them walk across a doormat that has "PBIA" on it.

This is because this scene was filmed at Palm Beach International Airport.

The fictional city where they live is someplace up north (Midwest, Northeast, or eastern Canada where it was filmed) When Hightower throws the Frisbee at Proctor, you can see the wire pulling Proctor up as he flies out of shot.

At the end, when Proctor kicks the chair to Harris, the rails under the chair are clearly visible.

In the final chase scene, Nick and Kate both duck as Tony's boat approaches them.

In the next shot, Nick and Kate are seen sitting upright while Tony's boat is making the jump.

Three goons traverse the gap between two buildings by shooting a grappling hook device, securing the line at their end first.

You hear the word "Go!" telling the first to go, then "Go" for the second man, then "Go" for the third.

You should only have heard the "Go" twice, as the last one wouldn't have told himself to go, and it was said by the same voice so no-one else could've told him to "Go".

Plus when the second one was going across, from the camera angle looking back to the balcony they came from, no one was waiting for their turn.

The camera angle switches again, well after the second guy left, and you see the third guy set off from the balcony.

When Commandant Lassard yells to his hostage taker, on the boat, "Well done!", the voice responds, "It's nothing!", but he is mouthing something else.

When Proctor, while hanging from the helicopter, knocks Lieutenant Harris off the boat, we hear Proctor call out, "I did that.

I'm sorry, Sir.

", but his mouth stopped moving after, "I did that.

" The official movie poster depicts 'Michael Winslow (I)' (qv) with a moustache, despite him not having one in the film.

This same goof was made in _Police Academy 4Citizens on Patrol (1987)_ (qv).

One of the exterior shots reveal that the plane is an L-1011 which is similar to a DC-10 except the engine on the the tail is directly above and attached to the rear main cabin, and parallel to to the top of the fuselage whereas on a DC-10 the engine is part of the tail assembly but not attached to the rear part of the cabin and sits at about a 20 degree angle.

In the movie the officers have again moved up in rank (4 stripes on their sleeves), however four stripes is not a true rank in any United States Police Dept.

Three stripes (sergeant) should be followed by Lieutenant (one silver bar on lapel) not four "upper" stripes.

When Kate and Jones are sparring, the way that Kate's Gi is wrapped changes several times.

At the beginning, the left side is underneath the right side, but by the end of the fight, it's wrapped the opposite way.

"Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach" is a rough one. I don't think I laughed once.

Steve Guttenberg is gone, off filming Three Men and a Baby. That's the cover story, because he not only turned down the lead role, he said no to all of the sequels that came after.

This movie begins with "Captain Harris" (G. W.

I wasn't expecting much so I can't complain a whole lot. This movie was just cashing in on the name.

I don't know. As an adult, yeah, this is a HORRIBLE installment.

This Isn't a perfect Film by any means, the regulars try their best and evoke some laughs particularly ' George Gaynes' as Lassard the Film does lack a certain fineese without the Inclusion Of Steve Guttenberg.Overall Its not as bad as some Reviews suggest, watchable but only once.

Another awesome police academy.

I don't care what "the critics" make of Police Academy 5. I loved it and laughed all the way through.

I know I know. You are a big fan of the first four films and you are wondering, how can 5 be THAT bad.
