As astronaut Chuck Baker gets tangled up in a planet mobile in the planetarium, his air hose becomes dislodged and his oxygen becomes depleted.

Upon realizing the planet has breathable air, he removes his helmet, and the air hose is now reconnected to his suit.

It is then again disconnected in the following shot.

When Chuck Baker is talking to Lem he points out our solar system and says it's about 20 billion miles away.

The closest star to us is around 40 trillion kilometers so that would be impossible.

Skiff's braces disappear and reappear in different scenes.

When the soldiers are removing items from Chuck's spacecraft, one of them drops an Ipod which begins loudly playing music for all to hear.

Ipods don't have speakers, just a jack for headphones.

In every instance except one, the city/town is spelled "Glipforg".

On the hardware store sign, it's spelled "Glipfrog".

Reviews

It wasn't half as bad as I expected. Planet 51 is directed mainly at children, and the humor is appropriately simplistic, which makes the infinite number of cultural references, of a type that was archaic when Pleasantville used them ten years ago, rather odd, because it seems unlikely that any child would get them, but there are enough laughs to make it enjoyable, even if the admittedly appealing premise runs out of gas after about fifteen minutes.

The idea was the real reason I wanted to watch this film. Sadly it's the only good thing about this tripe.

Lem(voiced by Alvin & The Chipmunks Justin Long),is a nerdy alien who's got a crush on an alien girl (voiced by Mrs Justin Timberlake Jessica Biel)who likes Lem as well but she doesn't know that he likes her too. Meanwhile we are introduced to a very charming astronaut named Chuck (voiced by Dwayne The Rock Johnson who I swear can be a bit annoying in this flick at times) enters Lem's world and befriends him while Lem's people thinks that Chuck is an alien, when in actual fact its Lem's people that are aliens, but when this military alien(voiced by Gary Oldman)and a Professor (voiced by Swan Princess and Shrek 2 and 3 star John Cleese) wants to get rid of Chuck, will Chuck ever see his world ever again?

In this successful Spanish picture there are humor , rip-roaring adventures , action , thrills and many other things . It deals with an American astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker (Voice by Dwayne Johnson) lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first person to step foot on it.

The story of Planet 51 is about a astronaut named Captain Charles T. Baker voiced by Dwayne Johnson who lands on a planet where it inhabitants are aliens but living in the 1950s along the way he meets and makes an ally with Lem voiced by Justin Long.

Planet 51 is a Spanish animation film that tells the story of the landing of a human on an alien planet where he is the alien. The film has awesome 3D animation, settings and colors, with a very charming 1950s mood that mixes the images on aliens that were common at the time with the fashion and style of the era.

Planet 51 is yet another animated movie that works well for almost anyone, not only the kids. Planet 51 is a mostly cute movie about an alien society that are very alike our fifties, or how the fifties looks like in the movies.

Please disregard RichardSRussell-1's review, I am not sure he watched the movie, at least not with very much attention. First, he states "humans as the bad guys" but the only human was the movie's good guy!

Planet 51 is a good enough idea, but apart from the occasional adult joke, this film will bore anyone over ten. It could never compete with it's Pixar/Dreamworks rivals, but it will probably delight younger kids.
