Great to see UFC fighter and champ Michael Bisping in a role that he can fit into (in spite of acting like a violent lunatic) and always a pleasure to see the late great John Hurt on screen (RIP)However, having no substantial knowledge of Lenny Mclean, Josh Helman seriously hams him up to a fault, constantly twitching and making weird faces. People have said thats what he's like but I've seen him in interviews and he's never constantly making these weird constipated faces the whole time.

I thought this was well done and quite moving. Yes Lenny's facial ticks were exaggerated but obviously purposefully so.

And I wish I'd left it longer. An appalling film.

I wanted to like this but had to turn it off. The portrayal of Lenny made him look retarded, I can't believe his family were happy with it.

It is supposed to be a film about Lenny McLean and his struggles in his life. But Josh Helman just ruin the character by terrible acting and awful impersonation.

Josh Helman played Lenny with these OTT facial twitches & constant gurning, which was so off putting I nearly turned it off. Contrary to other reviews, the actors portrayal bare no resemblance to the real life Lenny.

Having read Lenny's book years ago, I always felt there could be a decent movie. This could have been it but unfortunetly the lead role was mis-cast.

Don't understand all the negative reviews. Mclean was a loon who'd been severely abused as a youngster and had taken and administered many savage beatings.

Like everyone else, I just couldn't get past the absurd facial expressions. To the point that I had to c9me on here and see if anyone else hadn't mentioned it!
