The first season of "My Gimpy Life" is a series of episodes that is finding its voice. Many of the first season episodes contain setups for humor related directly to living life as a person who uses a wheelchair.
It is so refreshing to see a show about a person with disability that not only stars an actual person with disability, but is written by that person. Teal is genuine, and funny, and shares the real issues around living a busy life in a wheelchair, with humor and compassion.
I love this show. I am disabled myself, but my able-bodied friends love it, too.
It's extremely funny the whole way through. The acting was perfect and the writing was sharp / witty.
"My Gimpy Life" is has many memorable moments. That's what places it up there with the best television series.
