Reviews

This film has a B movie vibe and a very contrived premise, but even as I was puzzling over questionable character motivations early on, its brisk pace and my wondering what was really going kept me interested. As the film plays out it goes to some pretty dark places which I loved about it, and I have to say, I didn't see that fantastic ending coming.

Major pacing (and logic) problems. The end of the world is minutes away, but the hero (and heroine) spend lots of time running hither and yon, and worse, frequently stop dead for lengthy baby talk heart-to-hearts.

Enjoyed it greatly! It's a sort of period piece, with dated production sensibilities.

...at least for this wizened ol' film buff, "Miracle Mile" seems to be woefully under-seen by IMDbers, which is a shame.

This gut wrenching, horrific story sort of sneaks up on you, due to writer & director Steve De Jarnatt. It starts out pretty lighthearted, the tale of a 30 year old jazz musician, Harry Washello (Anthony Edwards), who believes that he may have finally found true love with diner waitress Julie Peters (Mare Winningham).

OK. So maybe this movie isn't exactly all that realistic.

There's so much going on here behind the plot. This isn't just a film about the end of the world.

Was it all a dream? What's so great about this movie is the most logical explanation for what occurs is that Harry is simply having a nightmare.

This movie divides reviewers so much, signalling it as one to watch. I thought it was friggen great.
