It has a good beginning, with five men (two are deaf and ASL signers, the one is hard of hearing and uses "SEE" sign language, the other is hearing but knows American sign language and yet another is also hearing but knows nothing about sign language or Deaf Culture) camping out in the woods near Lake Waterfalls (hence the title). The movie gives us an interesting look at their contrasting personalities and their ideals & prejudices about what it means to be deaf and to fit in the deaf community.
