Watched this excellent film last night and was sadly surprised to learn today of the passing of director Azuma Morisaki. Known for his earthy, acerbic comedy, here with an Art Theatre Guild production Moriaki composes one of his greatest films.
I watched the movie after hearing the passing of Azuma Morisaki today. I loved the movie when i watched it many years back and it all feels fresh for a 1977 film after my 5th viewing.
