Kung Fury is made to look like an 80's VHS tape, as a kung fu cop travels back in time to fight Hitler with so help from Thor and Triceracop. Yes, you heard that right.
"Kung Fury" opens with a rampaging arcade machine, and our hero flying his Lamborghini through the streets of Miami to thwart the raging robot with a helicopter and lightning fists. Okay, sounds good so far..
Best film since Real Genius. This film should be longer than a half hour, it is full of so many pop culture moments that a half hour doesn't do it justice.
KUNG FURY is a triumph of the power of crowd-funded filmmaking, a passion project if ever there was one, and an absolute indie acid trip. Disappointingly, it's not a movie for me.
This is what short films are made of. It's terribly written, poorly acted and orchestrated with the best 80's techno you could ask for!
Honestly, I don't write reviews. I accidentally clicked on this flick in Netflix and it started playing before I could stop it.
For over a decade I believed KungPow to be the greatest piece of utter nonsense ever created... and then I saw this.
Every minute is nostalgia, in a good way (or is nostalgia always in a good way?).
