To start right with what i hated most, in the first movie, they clearly showed the Mars in the endcredits, so of course i expected the "sequel" to be Mars related, but man was i wrong...There was so much potential, a bigger, even better Nazi Mars base, better weapons, more developed ships, maybe a whole city on Mars, build in a huge dome, thats what i expected.
There are home projects on YouTube better than this. To be fair, the CGI was good.
Timo Vuerensola returns to direct "Iron Sky 2: The Coming Race", a direct follow up the 2012 "Iron Sky" film.Twenty years have passed since the first film, the Earth was devastated by a nuclear war and the last of humanity is now surviving side by side (in an awkward truce) with moon-Nazi's in what's left of the Nazi moon base, now named "Neomenia".
Loved the first and liked the second installment of Iron ¥ Sky ! Fun dark steam-punk syfy with good costumes, sets and animation.
I really enjoyed the first film and was very much looking forward to the sequel but was left underwhelmed. The Coming Race is a disappointment, to say the least.
In the style of the old SCIFI space operas with much better FX. Absolutely enjoyable.
Obviously not meant to be a serious film I was laughing quite a bit. More of a spoof film than anything but worth a watch.
I like how they "copied" the music from ELP's Tarkus for the Triceratops chariot race. Very appropriate.
