Goofs

The Macbook switches between facing forward and backwards on the kitchen counter when Peter gets home, and the 3 girls are talking.

When Peter confronts Sydney about the billboards, the audio has Peter saying "Eight thousand dollars?" but Peter clearly mouths "five" instead of "eight" At the office when Peter answers the phone, the screen on the iPhone never turns off as is would in reality.

Sydney mentioned a guy driving a Saab 9-3 and pronounced it "nine point three", but should just be "nine three".

When Peter goes to answer his iPhone, throughout the film you constantly hear two sounds when he answers it - the ringtone and the iPhone's "lock" sound.

Normally, the iPhone only ever plays that sound when unlocking it.

When you receive and answer a call, no sound is played other then the ringtone.

In the scene where Peter and Zooey have clearly called Hailey to tell her that they got engaged, the caller-ID says 'Hailey - incoming call'.

When Sydney is hit by the golf ball, the wound starts on his knee and is clearly shown, but later that day when he calls Pete about the Rush concert, the ice pack is now down near his foot, with no sign of the injury on his knee.

After getting engaged, one of Zooey's friends says, "Congratulations on the wedding!" However, she is simply anticipating the future wedding as a done deal.

The seating planning for Peter & Zoe's wedding has both "SYdney" and "SIdney" on it.

While Peter was posing for the picture that Sydney was going to advertise Peter's job with, Peter's left hand switches between shots from holding his right wrist and holding his right elbow.

Reviews

After reading the many reviews on IMDb and other review sites, I inserted the rental DVD and began to watch, looking forward to what seemed like a good film, the reviews were certainly laudable. Early on the F* words came out along with the gratuitously vulgar dialogue, spat out from mouths of the cast as if the use of such profane talk was so common place as to be no different from 'please' and 'thank you', any element of subtlety was absent.

I just got back from a free screening at paramount for this film and it was hilarious. The mixture of the cast is what really made it so funny.

My fiance and I just rewatched this movie last night. I remembered liking it and we love Paul Rudd so I suggested it and it was a great idea.

Its like a person from each show i watch is in here. marshall from how i met your mother.

"I Love You Man" finds the always lovable Paul Rudd playing Peter Klaven, an uptight realtor who goes on a series of "man dates" in the hope of finding a best friend. To his rescue comes Sydney Fife (Jason Segel), an oafish guy who teaches Klaven how to marinade in adolescence.

A buddy comedy that ranks nowhere near "Tommy Boy". I like Paul Rudd.

This movie which I assume is based in some way on what the US male is actually like, seems dedicated to illustrating how vacuous and stupid the 'modern' American male can be. On the plus side Sydney is a good guitarist so why is he not in a band?

I Love You, Man tackles a weirdly forgotten problem in the world and that is the grown male with little to no male friends, or friends in general. Work dominates much of our adult lives and free time has become something we choose to make rather than something that comes included with our work.

I rate I Love You man a 9, plain and simple. It has been one of my favorite movies since it came out.
