If Return of the Living Dead (1985) had been directed by Dan Aykroyd and the premise was a mash-up of One Crazy Summer (1986), Weird Science (1985), and Cherry 2000 (1987) in a world where Superbad (2007) had never been made, that film would be Hot Bot (2016), a surprisingly genuine sex-comedy without any sex.Either the actors were given free-reign to live inside their characters and say whatever they felt at any time, or the dialog was brilliantly specific.
I saw this movie on Netflix last night. It's really not that bad as long as you're in the mood for it and aren't expecting too much.
How a movie can be that bad ? I don't know what to stay...
As a n other reviewer said must be baked what is the cake made of that could put this over 5 stars i want some of that cake this is not a review as much as asking for the bakers secret i really want to know as for the film is is a 4 maybe a 5 very derivative but not in a good way of many other films like this my favorite by far is Cybor Girl the Japanese that was the best a 8 or 9 baked or not what a cool movie even had time travel and lots of morals and MSG. unlike this poor, week filmagain I run into the not enough linessome times spaces are there for a reasonas with these it is not just what is said in a film but what is not said, like an elephant in the room and no one saying why?
Hot Bot's writer/director Michael Polish clearly intended for his teen sex comedy to be a hilarious mix of Weird Science and Superbad, Cynthia Kirchner's high-tech sex robot Bardot replacing Kelly LeBrock's living Barbie-doll, with high-school geeks Leonard Stupenski (Zack Pearlman) and Limus Huffington (Doug Haley) a cross between Superbad's Seth and Evan and Weird Science's Gary and Wyatt. What he actually delivers is a charmless wreck of a film with zero laughs that is about as sexy as sticking your dick in a light socket.
More lowest-common-denominator comedy in the vein of American Pie. I disliked all of the characters, couldn't stand the dialogue, and was already skipping forward after the first five minutes.
As other reviewers have said, this is a pile of poo, it's dreadful. I couldn't find one redeeming scene or performance in the whole damn movie.
This movie is absolutely terrible in every single way.Let's get one thing out of the way - if you go into this movie thinking it's going to have sexy babes, nudity galore, you are going to be sorely disappointed.
