When Taarna kills the barbarian leader, her hand becomes drenched in green blood.

In the very next shot, the blood is gone and her hand is dry.

The color of the Queen's hair and robe.

When the pilot lands on the South Seas island, Howler Monkeys can be heard in the background.

They are native to South America, not the South Pacific.

In the Den segment, when Katherine is first going to be sacrificed, she goes from being tied up to untied and struggling to tied up again.

In the "Den" story, the Queen gets up nude after sex, then is suddenly wearing a blue loincloth-type garment.

The two final scenes of "So Beautiful, So Dangerous" are reversed.

The robot and the secretary exit the ship onto the space station before the ship lands.

If you look closely at the lower right corner of the screen as the ship grinds to a halt in the hangar bay, the escalator ramp used by the robot and the secretary only seconds before is deployed.

Reviews

In our p.c.

I'm a big fan of movie titles. Death Race being one, Shoot Em Up, another when the producers don't disguise the plot as more than it should be by the title, and don't get me wrong my top 3 are pan's labyrinth, memento and Mullholland Dr.

I came to this basically expecting a feature length version of power metal cover art and that's basically what I got.On the surface the whole thing looks and sounds fabulous: the amazing backdrops and landscapes from the not-to-distant future New York, the post-apocalyptic desert and the technophilic space station.

Hey. If you wanna see the most badass taxi driver of history, or the sexiest saviour goddess of all creation while toking up, this is it.

First realization is surprising by its precarious and quirky side but quickly mesmerizes (hypnotized), then the type of design with big features, of dubious (doubtful) entertainment and a little trash of the first story is not to all tastes. But we quickly forget this prejudice as the history and background captivates us.

The first time I saw Heavy Metal was by mistake. Sometime around 1984-1985, we used to live in Caracas, Venezuela, where my parents would rent VHS movies that some guy recorded.

A one way ticket in time and space to a trippy experience which will always be considered a classic. Whoever's brilliant idea it was to marry the art of this classic magazine set against the rock icons of the time .

Everything about this movie is awesome. Great imagination,art,cast,gore,storylines....

Such an adolescent fantasy, so far anchored off reality it jars with each successive skit. It seems the motivation of each character (and writer) is so myopic that there are no suspensful moments.
