Once you get passed the technical difficulties the vocals were horrible, Vanessa Hudgens' version of Rizzo left something to be desired and Carlos Pena Vega not only got lost dancing during Grease Lightening but let it show all over his face. Fell way below my expectations and had no business being aired and everyone needed to be fired.
Grease: Live is very good. The soundtrack was pretty good and of course, it wasn't as good as the original but still great.
I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a really nicely done musical.
I loved the original when Grease came out I saw it twice in the theater and bought the album. I had it on VCR and on DVD and now digital.
It wasn't bad, but it simply had no real reason to exist. They stuck so close to the original movie that it was a virtual frame-by-frame clone, yet the performers suffered by comparison to the original cast.
Grease is a classic with so many iconic scenes, songs and characters it would actually be hard to blotch it. What sets Grease Live!
This is completely off from the movie!!!!! IDC if it's 2016!!!!!!!
Well I enjoyed it, you could see everyone there was 100% committed and put their hearts and souls into it. Great musical numbers, great acting, great all round entertainment.
Kudos to Fox for commissioning Grease Live. Wow, this is the pinnacle of live TV musicals, and congratulations to everyone involved.
