It is established in the film that it is the use of a contaminated washing up powder that has caused the women of the village to turn into zombies.

The film also stipulates that only exposure to the washing up powder will cause infection.

Based on this, how can Candy also turn into a zombie after having not been to the village before, nor using the washing up powder herself? When Matt is attacked by the scissors lady outside the house he is fighting her and the camera changes and the lady is not there and Matt is just pointing at the other women.

Then the camera changes back and Matt is still fighting the scissors lady.

When Matt gives Vince his "backup" water-gun, its tank is full.

Vince holds it up to see that it is almost empty.

In the next shot it is full again.

Reviews

This is suppose to be a zombie comedy but it fails in a lot of levels. It just seemed cheap and not because of the budget but because of the direction of it all including the acting.

Doghouse (2009): The Good, the Bad and the NastySynopsis: A British film about a group of men having a "get-a-way" for a member of their pack that is getting a divorce. They rent a tour bus to take them to a remote town to drink away their troubles with hopes of encountering the opposite sex.

Fun little flick - some lads want to party and have some fun (leaving their girls behind) but get in deep trouble instead. Not in the same league as Shaun of the Dead, but a good and solid British horror comedy to kill some sparetime.

Typical British comedy horror, Similar to Shaun of the dead. The cast was excellent and a real funny story .

From the director who brought us "Razorblade Smile" (1998) and "Evil Aliens" (2005) comes another British B-movie horror classic in the shape of "Doghouse". Starring Danny Dyer, Noel Clarke, Stephen Graham, Emil Marwa and of course featuring Emily Booth and running at 85 mins this shows the story of a group of men who go on a weekend away to try and help one of them get over the heartache of divorce.

It carefully follows all the rules for this class of horror movie and it's scary, gory and it made me laugh out loud a lot, hence the score. Some people have criticised the ending because the men "haven't learned anything", but they have.

It's not a blockbuster but it has its moments. I watched it when it was new and really enjoyed it.

A bunch of scruffy sexist pig guys find themselves in a remote isolated town in which an experimental biological weapon has transformed all the women into murderous man-hating monsters. While director Jake West keeps the pace moving at a cracking clip, generates a good deal of tension, delivers a handy helping of graphic gore, and demonstrates a flair for nifty visuals, Dan Schaffer's rather crude and offensive script alas leaves a pretty foul aftertaste due to an unfortunately well pronounced misogynistic bent that comes across as more heartfelt than tongue in cheek.

DOGHOUSE is a British stab at the comedy horror genre, featuring a group of guys who go off on holiday to a remote woodland locale and find themselves at the mercy of some zombie-type creatures. It's a film that's more than happy to reveal its inspirations, which here seem to be the likes of horror classics such as THE EVIL DEAD as well as more recent fare like SEVERANCE, which also starred Danny Dyer.
