Reviews

Sterling Hayden steals the show. This is a great noir thriller about a n ex-con falling in love and trying to escape his past.

This is a good movie. The cinematography and acting are excellent.

Andre De Toth directed this film noir, shot on real locations. Sterling Hayden stars as no-nonsense police detective Lt.

Sterling Hayden, one of the worst actors of all time. Cornball flick....

Three men rob a gas station and ends up killing a cop. It's the latest in a series of crimes since the group led by 'Doc' Penny escaped from San Quentin.

Director: Andre De Toth.Staring: Sterling Hayden, Gene Nelson, Phyllis Kirk, Ted de Corsia, Charles Buchinsky (Bronson), Jay Novello, James Bell, Dub Taylor, Timothy Carey.

Is that Will Parker I see playing the role of a tough guy ex-con in this excellent Andre de Toth noir from 1953? It sure is.

The criminals "Doc" Penny (Ted de Corsia), Ben Hastings (Charles Bronson) and Gat Morgan (Ned Young) escape from San Quentin and kill a police officer while robbing a gas-station. However Morgan is shot and left behind by his partners.

Crime Wave is an absolute gem. In fact, I promise you that it's the best move that you've never heard of -- a post modern masterpiece.
