I was surprised to see so many negative reviews for Cardboard Gangsters, I personally thought it was extremely impressive. Many of these council estate gangster movies are far too excessive and unrealistic, but this movie feels authentic and believable thanks to a really solid cast.
I watched this film without looking at the reviews for a change because I just knew it would put me off. And aren't I glad!
10/27/2020 An uneventful youthful drug dealers get their just reward in the end movie. An average movie in every sense of the word.
I felt like I was looking through a time machine into the suburb I grew up in. Everyone trying to make a fast buck no matter what side of the law they fall on.
The movie is done pretty well for the budget. The main character did a very good job and was believable.

I love a good gangster movie regardless of which country it is set in but there is something about these Dublin low life that really annoy me. Perhaps it's because they reminds me of the Irish gypsies that terrorise counties in England .
I don't get these people saying the "acting is terrible" "awful film" and "it's not a gangster film". The acting is SUPERB.
