Biography

Founder, entrepreneur, and expert coach Miranda Davidson both cultivates artists into working talent and inversely creates programs for executives to be more effective at work. Miranda is a respected guest speaker and lecturer and has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows as well as in the press. She is the founder of Miranda Davidson Studios which houses MDS Casting, MDS Training and MDS Corporate. Early on, Miranda trained as a professional figure skater and by age 9, she left home to tour the US for nearly 2 decades. The discipline and creativity honed from a life in sports and entertainment as an elite figure skater, performer and dancer has been key to her continued success as a businesswoman and expert trainer. After her sports career, Miranda spent over 3 years working and traveling along side a local singer from her hometown of Minneapolis, pop icon Prince and his NPG band. This amazing experience led Miranda move to Los Angeles and work with Prince's long time friend, actress Kirstie Alley and with actor James Wilder via Warner Bros Pictures. Seeing first-hand how Ms Alley balanced being an artist and a businesswoman had a profound affect on her and from there, Miranda began working for Blue Max Management, representing TV actors Wentworth Miller and Ana Ortiz which cemented Miranda's status. It wasn't long before Next Management noticed Miranda's flair and had her relocating to New York City for several years before taking up work with Vision Management NYC to manage their commercial and catalog division. While at Vision, she created an entirely new division managing over 100 clients and later, opened franchises throughout the US for a subsidiary company of Karin's Paris. She credits renowned Casting Director and Matchbook Company founder Kristi McCormick for mentoring Miranda for over a decade and helping develop Miranda's exceptional eye for talent and business savvy. In 2009, Miranda opened MD Studios in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai to include casting, coaching, producing, corporate training and events. Through her natural ability to create lasting relationships in Hollywood and around the world, MD Studios hit the ground running by casting blockbuster movies and art pieces filmed in Middle East with the most notable being "Fast & the Furious 7", "Star Trek Beyond" and Brad Pitt's "War Machine" in addition to "Deliver Us From Evil" produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, and Kanye West's short movie/Art exhibition which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, "Cruel Summer" and co-starred legendary Arab actors Hayat Al Fahad and Ali Suleiman. Within the region, Miranda has worked on Emirati feature films including "Sea Shadow" directed by Nawaf Al Janahi and "Happy Birthday Younis" starring Nabil Sawalha. MD Studios continuously grabs international work even casting for the largest Chinese movie to be filmed outside China, "Switch" starring Andy Lau. Coaching and developing courses in a multicultural environment is an exciting and challenging part of her work and a testament to her ability to transcend the human experience through language and cultural barriers.
