She writes a weekly advice column for the Baltimore City Paper called "Think Mink."

The first film she made with John Waters was in 1966 called "The Wizard of Odd, or Dorothy the Kansas City Pothead." She played Auntie Em. Waters wrote the script in 8mm with no sound, with the idea that the voices would be dubbed in later onto a tape recorder. It was never finished because Waters realized the impossibility of dubbing onto a tape recorder and the actress in the leading role of the Wicked Witch, Maelcum Soul, died before the production could be completed.

Playing a crazed topless tap dancer in Waters Mondo Trasho , she and others were arrested for "conspiracy to commit indecent exposure" while illegally filming a scene on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Is one of ten children. Her brother George Stoll appeared as an extra in Pink Flamingos .

The role of Mrs. Spool was written specifically for Mink Stole in Neighbor .

Since 2007 she has lived in the Tuxedo Park neighborhood of Baltimore near Loyola College.
