His music has also been featured in national advertising campaigns and international film festivals. Mikel currently collaborates with Academy Award Nominated and Grammy Winning Composer Danny Elfman . He holds a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College Berklee College of Music in Film Scoring, where he won best score in the Berklee Academy Awards, and, a B.A. Honors from the University of British Columbia in Political Geography and Latin American Studies.
