Trivia

Was the subject of an article in the New York Times and a related video report on Times website in which he narrated stories about the seven times (as of June 2009) he has played characters who have died on screen. They include A Loss of Innocence , Tides of War , "Oz" , and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" . Doyle said that during his first on-screen death, in A Loss of Innocence , he was mortified to notice, while watching the finished movie, after his character is supposed to be dead, his eye still twitched a bit. After that, he always died with his eyes open.

Appeared as a featured guest in two different first-run, prime-time TV shows on the same night, Wednesday April 14th, 2010: "Criminal Minds" at 9:00pm (EDT) on CBS and "In Plain Sight" at 10:00pm (EDT) on the USA Network.
