Biography

Born in Shanghai, Chow is a naturalized British citizen, and active in the United States from the late 1970s. Businessman known for his Mr. Chow restaurant chain, the first opening in London, 1968. The Mr. Chow he opened in New York City was favored by artists in the 1980s. He trained as a painter at Central Saint Martins in London before embarking on his restaurant career. He resumed painting in 2012, and has exhibited at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and elsewhere. He has worked on interior design projects for himself and others, including boutiques for Giorgio Armani, and has appeared as an actor in many feature films. He is a collector of furniture and contemporary art.

Brother of Tsai Chin

International restaurateur (Mr Chow), part-time actor, and would-be director.

Father of China Chow and Maximillian Chow (with the late Tina Chow ) and Asia Chow (with current wife Eva Chun).

Wife, Eva Chun, is the niece of famous Korean singer, Patty Kim, who is considered the Barbra Streisand of South Korea.

He appeared in three films with his elder sister Tsai Chin : Violent Playground , The Brides of Fu Manchu and You Only Live Twice .
