Mehwish Hayat is one of Pakistan's leading actresses. Coming from a well-known show business family she has been acting since an extremely early age and has appeared in many major serials and telefilms, including "Thori si Wafa" Manjali" "Mirat-ul-Uroos" "Mere Qatil Mere Dildar" and "Kabhi Kabhi ". She was also the winner of ARY's reality gameshow "Madventures'. Extremely popular in her homeland Pakistan, in 2009 she was voted as the 8th sexiest Asian in the world by a popular British magazine. As a model, she has appeared in adverts for some of the world's leading brands, from telecoms to beauty products. She has just been appointed the face of the 2014 Lux calendar and is WWF ambassador for Earth Day. She was the face of the major international anti-terrorism campaign "This is not us". She is also an accomplished singer, having sung several popular theme songs for television and is about to launch her first single. International film projects are also in the pipeline. International entertainment magazine Eastern Eye wrote: "If there was a contest to find the most beautiful woman in Pakistan, this model-turned-actress would be a front-runner. She has announced her arrival with a number of challenging roles in TV dramas, and if she doesn't become Pakistan's first international film star, we will eat our hats."
