Matthew Lauren Griffin is an American actor, writer, singer and composer. Matt grew up in Bloomington, Illinois and began singing at the age of 11. He began acting at the age of 16 with a small role in his high school's play. However, it wasn't until the following spring when he landed a supporting role in the musical Footloose. In 2007, he graduated from Bloomington High School. After graduating high school, he went on to earn a bachelor of arts degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2012. A year after graduating, Matt moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
