He was awarded the MBE in the 2004 Queens New Years Honors List for his services to Rugby as a squad member of the 2003 Englands championship Rugby World Cup Team.
He took part in the fourth series of the BBCs "Strictly Come Dancing" . He was partnered with professional Lilia Kopylova. The pair finished in second place, behind cricket player Mark Ramprakash and his partner Karen Hardy.
He completed the 2007 London Marathon for charity in 4 hours 35 minutes and 39 seconds.
He won the first series of the BBCs cookery competition, "Celebrity Masterchef" .
Retired English rugby union player who played scrum half for London Wasps and Northampton Saints. During his international career, he toured with the British and Irish Lions three times and was part of Englands 2003 Rugby World Cup winning side. He won 77 caps for his country in total, including nine as captain. He is Englands most capped scrum half.
