Matt Baca, a native of New Mexico but based in Los Angeles, has ability to play both the good guy and the villain equally well. Some of his credits include: chemistry teacher Trevor Smith-Smith in the sitcom pilot "Electives"; Van Helsing's grandson Abe in Evil Deeds: Full Circle; in the he lead in the independent film Luiseno, as Mexican general Jose Lugo; murderous Russian mafia boss Vladimir in the Dance of Vengeance. In addition to his film work, he has starred in national commercials for Discover and Toyota. He is also a touring stand-up comedian, having performed at numerous comedy clubs in Los Angeles and the U.S. A list of corporate clients he's performed for include Boeing, AXA Financial, and PepsiCo. He speaks Spanish and Russian and enjoys global travel, biking and yoga.
He minored in Russian and lived in Russia in the mid-90s.
He has a Masters in Education and teaches at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of California at Irvine.
