Mathew John Swift was born in Cape Town, South Africa. At the tender age of five his family immigrated to Australia where they settled in Brisbane. Mathew later then found his love in Gymnastics at age seven after being quite resistant originally. Jump a few years forward and Mathew was competing at nationals snatching up first and second place. Shortly after turning Sixteen Mathew was well on his way to becoming a prime candidate to the commonwealth games before suffering a tragic accident ending his career. At age Seventeen Mathew decided it was time to pursue his lifetime dream of becoming an actor. He applied and was accepted into The Performing Arts Conservatory in Brisbane city. After two hard years Mathew had graduated and was ready to tackle the world. Since then He has appeared in many short films and is ever looking to expand himself further into the market.
