Biography

Dance music background: Tuned into the sounds of underground pirate radio in London 1990 and searched out the parties. Interest in clubs like Lost & amp; EuroBeat 2000 led to a deepening love of Tech and relentless grooves through to the rock solid House sounds of '93 & amp; 94. Started mixing and kicked of our own party scene in London in 95 with "PS". As the sound of progressive house developed through '96 moved to Leeds and continued mixing the party scene, continuing to keep tabs on the Tecno scene with the fantastic ‘Orbit’. Moved back to London end of '97 just in time for Tyrant plus a great many other sounds pioneered by 'The End' crew. Currently Mark can be found residing at Sumsonic club nights and is involved in a bi-monthly label radio show for ‘MoS’. Summer 2001 sees Mark and ‘Sleepfreaks’ partner Paul Rogers travelling the globe for Titanium Artist Management. Mark has played extensively around London and the UK inc. Linford Studios, Chunnel, Rhythmicon and personal favourite The Soundshaft. Mark has held residencies at clubs inc. Club UK and WYD. Recording experience: Commenced recording experience when forming the sumsonic Music Project, Mark finds inspiration from Artists like Sabres of Paradise and Mr. C and from the club sounds of nights like Tyrant and Bedrock. Now an established Producer and Engineer writing in varying styles from Deep Progressive House to Tech House to Downtempo Chillout vibes under various guises.

In 1997, OBrien co-founded Lemonade Factory, a small press in Berkeley that publishes poetry by people with disabilities.

Stricken with polio at age 6; used an iron lung and other breathing apparatus from then until his death.
