Biography

Mark Bracich is a retired US Air Force colonel, combat rescue helicopter pilot, wilderness horseback outfitter, and rancher. Born in Gary, Indiana, Mark grew up as a city kid. He graduated from Culver Military Academy, followed by the US Air Force Academy. After a successful career in the Air Force, Mark and his wife, Sharon, moved to the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado, where they owned and operated a wilderness outfitting business and a 338 acre ranch. Mark is an avid outdoorsman. These days, when he is not focused on acting in features, he works on telling his stories as a screenwriter, novelist, graphic novelist, short-story author, and singer/songwriter.

After retiring from the Air Force, Mark moved to Colorado to become a wilderness horseback outfitter and rancher. During the summer, he and his wife, Sharon, would take people on week-long horseback adventures in the San Juan mountains.

Mark is a graduate of the United Stated Air Force Academy. He was a combat rescue helicopter pilot for much of his Air Force career. He flew the CH/HH-3E "Jolly Green Giant" while stationed in the Philippines and in New Mexico. After attending school for a masters degree, and serving a headquarters staff tour, he flew the MH/HH-60G "PaveHawk" while stationed in New Mexico, South Korea, and Okinawa.
