Biography

Marie is an actress, singer and producer who started professionally pursuing acting at the University of Southern California and has sense been focusing on her craft in Atlanta, bringing to life characters on the small and big screens, on stage and even in live character performances. Her acting officially started in Montana during high school when quite by accident she joined the Forensic's Speech organization which led her to acting competitions around her home-state of Montana and eventually nationally. Her first performance piece, Charlayne Woodard's "Pretty Fire," told the true coming-of-age story of a little girl growing up in the South. After that, followed other serious pieces and also comedic, musical duo interpretations such as "Once Upon a Mattress" and tales from Dr. Seuss' "Bartholomew Cubbins." Once in college, she continued to focus on the USC stage. Most of her experience there developed doing productions with the Black Entertainment Theatrical Association where she served on the board and played roles in plays like "The Colored Museum." She also acted on stage in LA's Theatre District and was a host in several episodes of Fox's "Life After Film School." Since moving to the South, has performed in various national and regional commercials, television shows, feature films, and made-for-TV productions. Her most recent television credits include a recurring role as Faun in Tyler Perry's "If Loving You is Wrong," costarring on "Nashville," and next up, acting again opposite Vanessa Bell Calloway in "Saints & Sinners" whom she also worked with in the faith-based film, "To Hell and Back." She landed her first feature film role in Atlanta playing alongside Dayo Okeniyi as the fun-loving Gwen in Universal's "Endless Love." On the production side, Marie is currently working on an original scripted web series which will follow a young woman who ends up in a homeless shelter. Much of the story is based on her own past and comes from her desire to create material that is challenging, entertaining, and inspiring.
