An alumnus of the Pasadena Playhouse, Louise Allbritton's beauty and talent quickly got her jobs in the film industry, and she spent several years at Universal, where she played leads in mainly second features. She married CBS news reporter 'Charles Collingwood in 1946, and retired from the screen a few years later.
While filming Son of Dracula, she and her costar Robert Paige were constantly playing jokes on their cast mates. One day, costar Pat Moriarty and Robert Paige were filming a scene where they flip open her Albrittons characters coffin. They were astonished upon opening the lid to find Albritton inside, completely naked.
She died from spinal cancer.
