When developing the series, "Designing Women" , she wrote the scripts for the first 35 episodes.

In 1989, she set up the Claudia Company (a foundation named after her mother) to provide accelerated educational programs for high school girls in Missouri and Arkansas.

She and her husband head the production company Mozark Productions.

Linda and her husband became the unofficial media advisers for Arkansas governor Bill Clinton , an old friend, during his run for the presidency in 1992. Linda produced the documentary film on Clinton, The Man from Hope , shown at the Democratic National Convention in July 1992, and suggested that Clinton walk from the basement of Macys, in Manhattan, to Madison Square Garden, the site of the convention, on the night of his nomination.
