Has a younger sister, Camille (Cammie) Gibbons and a brother, Carlos Gibbons, Jr.

Wanted her daytime talk show, which ran from 1993-2000, to focus on womens issues from a feminist point of view. Ms. Gibbons stated that she wanted her show to empower women.

Was considered a candidate to replace Kathie Lee Gifford on "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee" , but didnt want to relocate from her home in Los Angeles.

Left "Entertainment Tonight" in 1995 to concentrate full-time on her daytime talk show.

Has two children with Stephen Meadows : Troy and Nathan (born in 1997).

Currently the host of two 3-hour radio shows: "Leeza Gibbons Hollywood Confidential." One version is Hot AC and the other is Adult Contemporary. In late 2004, she began a daily radio show called "Leeza At Night" that airs 5 nights a week.

Husband Stephen Meadows filed for divorce February 11, 2005, after a two-week separation, citing "irreconcilable differences". He is seeking joint custody of their sons Troy, 13 and Nathan, 7, as well as the spousal support agreed to in a 2002 post-nuptial contract.

Was a high school cheerleader in Irmo, South Carolina. She graduated from Irmo High School.

Her parents are Carlos Gibbons and Jean Gibbons. Her mother has Alzheimers disease, as did her grandmother.

Has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Her mother, Gloria Jean Gibbons, passed away at age 72 on May 22, 2008 from complications due to Alzheimers disease.

Honored by the Congressional Award in Washington, DC with the 1998 Horizon Award. The Horizon Award is a special recognition from the Joint Leadership of the United States Congress and the Congressional Award Board of Directors. The Horizon Award is presented to individuals from the private sectors who have contributed to expanding opportunities for all Americans through their own personal contributions, and who have set exceptional examples for young people through their successes in life.

Established the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation.

Leezas Place was founded in November, 2003.

Graduated from the University of South Carolinas school of journalism and mass communication. She is a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
