Lavinia Simina is a London based director, producer, writer and actress, born in Botosani, Romania. An only child, Lavinia left home when she was 10, to better prepare for an artistic career in classical piano in a music boarding school. After receiving her BA in classical piano, she became interested in filmmaking and acting and graduated with a second BA from the National University of Drama and Film in Bucharest Romania, while appearing in a few TV series and underground theatre. She continued her studies in Los Angeles, New York and later in London UK where she received her Master's Degree in Performance Making at Goldsmiths University of London. From 2014 Lavinia is the owner and artistic director of Elle Cinema , a film production company based in London, UK.
